Timberline/Mt. Hood, Oregon – May 2007

ranier and raccoon eyesA business trip took me to Los Angeles for a few days prior to the Memorial Day weekend. I burned a few vacation days, and hitched a flight from LAX to Portland, where I met my co-conspirator. We spent a few nights snowboarding on Mount Hood’s Palmer Snowfield and whitewater rafting on the White Salmon River (I think) in Washington. This is a spastic attempt at filming myself snowboarding down a portion of Mt. Hood.

And there is no better way to end a righteous trip than with a tall boy of finest quality Ranier beer. Surprisingly, not shitty. The telltale sunburn is proof of radness.

My camera does not take very good video, and my Camcorder had been left behind in my hotel’s safe in L.A. The staff was kind enough to return it to me, but I didn’t get it in time to film this.

Here we are, rafting on the White Salmon. I’m in there, somewhere. Brad G is the one “riding the bull” on the front of the raft. Gnarly.
