  • We ran some inbounds chutes that just sap all your strength absorbing the ruts, shot a lot of blue/double-blue runs. Dropped in on some really gnarly glades that were open up top but as I dropped past this ridge, got super-steep and crowded with larger evergreens.

  • On Tuesday, we got up and headed out to PCMR again. The weather was beautiful bluebird skies and temps in the mid 30's. It was almost too warm! Trying to avoid lines at the lift, we spent most of the afternoon on King Con, Silverlode and Thaynes lifts, but we also made some tracks down Sunrise and Georgianna from the McCoskey lift. From Thaynes, Keystone run was really nice and sun-drenched most of the day.

    Olympic Snowboarding Rant

As a snowboarder, should I be excited for the Olympics? Because I'm not. I guess I can "take it or leave it" as far as the olympic snowboarding events are concerned. They just don't really get me stoked to get out and ride. Let me break it down for you.

  • Next week looks to be above-freezing daytime highs near 35, and sunny. The sun will keep the groomers a little soft and carveable so I guess I can't really complain about bluebird days that aren't ice cold. But damn, is it soo much to ask for one goddamned powder day?

Anyways, we're looking to make the most of the 6 or 7 days we'll be there. I'm hoping to ride every day, including day of arrival.
