  • There's a whole 'nother world to Michigan ski resorts that most of us have never ridden or even heard of, in the Upper Peninsula.  Mostly located along the western half, these are approximately 10 hours in fair weather from the Detroit or Grand Rapids.  Go to the "Directions" page on these resort websites and they list directions from Chicago, the Twin Cities, Milwaukee, Green Bay, and Duluth, without even mentioning Detroit.

  • Earlier this week I took a look at season pass offerings in Michigan for Metro-Detroit area ski resorts and also some of the smaller resorts on the state's west side  .  There are many ski areas and full-service resorts a few hours to the north, within 4 hours from Detroit, 5 from Toledo, Indianapolis and Chicago.

    Earlier this week I took a look at season pass offerings in Michigan for Metro-Detroit area ski resorts and also some of the smaller resorts on the state's west side .   • The only thing better than getting out on the slopes is getting a good deal to get out on the slopes, and if you're planning on riding 20-30 days or more, you should probably consider a season pass especially if you're doing the bulk of your skiing/riding at a single resort.
