  • PARTY TIP: you should probably have a spare deck on hand, in case you break your skateboard in half.

Last time I went out for a skate I noticed a small spot beginning to delam, the product of repeated fails as the board went wrong-way into the business end of a concrete parking block (does a parking block have another end?). This happened the other night just as I had started out for the evening. I didn't get maybe 10 minutes in and I heard the telltale snap.

  • It hadn't snowed in 10 days and the mountains had seen a wicked thaw-freeze. Didn't matter though. We could tell by the terrain and the snow that had been there that it was worth another visit. A year later we would have our revenge on the BC Interior.

  • You got that right Jake. Everyone wants real-time updates and super-fresh content. More people are using Facebook to search for content than Google, Twitter is changing the way people interact, YouTube, Vimeo, etc., has everyone racing to make fresh content and upload it as often as possible.

  • The SIA data just came out and last season's winter sports retail sales were the second best of all time. Since I'm a nerd I'd love to get my hands on the SIA market data and report  and dig in to it, but since I don't have an extra $450 laying around that isn't already earmarked for a new snowboard, I can't.
