A few weekends ago Jon & I went over to one of his friends’ places and set up a flat rail in the backyard with the Banshee Bungee. This was my first time using the Bungee and I was expecting to get a little whiplashed or feel like I was flying out of control when it started pulling me.
Fortunately, none of that! It rides super smooth and you actually start moving fairly slowly and then accelerate a little bit. After the first tow-in I felt comfortable using it and we rode it for the next few hours.
Why you should buy a Banshee Bungee
If you live in a snow-challenged area like Michigan, or don’t have the money to shell out on lift tickets every day, grab some friends and chip in to buy one of these suckers.
Aside from the nearly endless laps (until your arms get tired) the Bungee also allows you to practice and dial in new tricks in a no-pressure environment. Some of you probably aren’t afraid to eat it in front of 9 year olds in the local terrain park, but I am. You don’t need to worry about anyone laughing at you when you fall unless you have asshole friends.
If you’re more adventurous, the Banshee Bungee also opens up a new frontier for you: the urban frontier. Sure, you could build a drop in out of lumber and cart that around with you everywhere and set it up at the local rail garden, but that’s a major pain in the ass and you need a big truck. The Bungee is portable and set up time is minimal.
You can get the Banshee Bungee from Snowboards.net starting at $149. In the aftermath of the impending DEATHSTORM I hope we can get out and get some more riding in on some gnarlier features soon. In the meantime here is a short edit of the Bungee in use.
