Birmingham AmJam Rail Jam – September 24, 2011

Clear your schedules!  On Saturday, September 24, 2011 the Otsego Club in conjunction with Michigan-based companies Don Thomas Sporthaus and  Snowboards.net, will be hosting their third annual summer rail jam (facebook event info). They haul in a truckload or three of man-made freshiez, set up a rail or two in the middle of Birmingham, and let you beat the heat for a few hours.

The rail jam will take place in the median between Woodward Ave. and Old Woodward, in Birmingham, Michigan which is conveniently located across the street from Don Thomas. There is plenty of parking nearby but there are also plenty of yuppies so be warned.

Last year there were only 50 spots available, and they were all filled during the pre-registration period so if you want to get in on the action, make sure to sign up early.  This was last year’s setup which consisted of a 20′ down rail and 20′ down box as well as a mini bowl to skate in. There will be a few pro skiers and snowboarders to session the features, and then the open jam will follow with prizes for the winners.
