Burton Launches LiftLine.tv, Steals My Idea for “Bangers & Mash”

Burton launched The Lift Line today, it’s their way of pushing continuously fresh content out to the interwebs. In related news I’m still pissed that I couldn’t make it out to Modern for the premiere last week, but I’ll get over it.

Jake Burton explains the direction:

“We thought about doing another movie, but it felt like a steady flow of fresh content might be a better way to go…The intent of The Liftline is to keep riders current on what our team is up to on a continuous basis. I’m sure there will be a learning curve, but it feels like a solid direction.”

You got that right Jake. Everyone wants real-time updates and super-fresh content. More people are using Facebook to search for content than Google, Twitter is changing the way people interact, YouTube, Vimeo, etc., has everyone racing to make fresh content and upload it as often as possible.

So good luck to them I hope it works out. But I’m upset that they are using “Bangers & Mash”. I had been brainstorming to so use that traditional working-class British meal as a title for a shredit in the 2010-11 season.

“Fish & Chips” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
