  • The number one piece of advice I can give you is to ride with someone who is either better than you, or about the same skill level as you.  You will be able to push each other beyond your normal comfort zones.  Heck, get a game of S.H.R.E.D. going and wager a beer on it or something. You'll be surprised how quickly you'll progress when you're competing with a friend.
