  • I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very good at freestyle — it's the one part of my game that I'm really trying to make good progress on this year, doing a lot of riding in Michigan all we really have is parks so I'd like to use that opportunity, learn some new stuff, have fun doing it, and hopefully not break any bones.

  • Riding switch on a directional board is going to feel a little different,but this has less to do with the shape of the board and more to do with the fact that you're probably not very good at riding switch.

A twin shaped board is going to help because it's symmetric, but it's not going to do the work for you. You still need to know how to ride switch.

Once you're comfortable ollying on to the box and riding it, you can progress to the narrower boxes, and finally to legit "rails".
