Angel Fire Resort, NM – Customer Service Fail
Posted on December 31, 2011 | No CommentsHere's another customer service issue, it didn't grab any headlines because there's no video, no f-bombs, no skiers vs. snowboarders, but it's poor customer service anyways, at Angel Fire Resort in New Mexico. -
Mt. Holly 12/30/2011
Posted on December 31, 2011 | No CommentsSo far this is going down as "the winter that wasn't", and although we're desperately waiting for winter to finally arrive, I'll take slush butters over icy, rutted out parks and frozen corduroy any day. -
Re-Cap: Crystal Mountain Meet-up
Posted on December 20, 2011 | 8 CommentsFortunately, Mother Nature is only like 50% of a vacation's success. Although terrain was limited, the conditions were very good. Much props to Crystal's snowmaking crew and their groomers for keeping the slopes in excellent shape. -
Utah Trip Recap: Brighton, PowMow & Snowbird
Posted on April 11, 2011 | 5 CommentsAll-in-all, it was a superb trip; we got the entire smorgasbord of spring conditions from pow to blizzards to slush to corduroy. Honestly, it is going to be difficult to top this trip next winter. Here is a brief recap. -

Brighton UT, April 3
Posted on April 3, 2011 | No CommentsCurrently in Utah, rode the storm snow today at Brighton Resort where about 12" of fresh had fallen overnight. In all the years we've been taking this trip out West (or sometimes, East) we've never had a day of powder like we had today in April. Not too crowded, snow was a little heavy by Utah standards but still hands down the best riding of the season for me. -
Crystal Mountain 3/26 & 3/27
Posted on March 29, 2011 | 5 CommentsThis year we got lucky though, and ended up with January snow conditions and bluebird skies. That late-season storm which earlier in the week dumped 8-10 inches on local resorts has set up the Northern Michigan ski areas for a great finale this week, as most of them are scheduled to close on Sunday, April 3.
