  • After a few nights in Revy, we reluctantly left during a snowstorm and spent the better part of a day driving south to Whitewater Resort  outside of Nelson. In that time, and then overnight, more than 60 cms of fresh snow piled up on the mountains. It was insanity.

  • It hadn't snowed in 10 days and the mountains had seen a wicked thaw-freeze. Didn't matter though. We could tell by the terrain and the snow that had been there that it was worth another visit. A year later we would have our revenge on the BC Interior.

  • We couldn't have asked for a better day in northern Michigan: no wind, partly sunny, and temps about 30 degrees. No powder in sight, but the blend of last week's fresh and man-made snow was extremely tolerable for early-season riding.

  • The primary reason we chose Jackson Hole over other destinations: At 4,100 vertical feet, and some of the steepest steeps in the world, Jackson Hole kicks ass. I would recommend the Snow King Resort, and I'd return there. They have hotel-style rooms as well as 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom condominiums on-site. It's affordable, close to the airport, and you don't need to rent a car.
