Here’s the skinny on who’s already open and who’s opening this week, if you’re in Chicago-land or Ohio and you’re dying for a fix, get after it and head to Michigan.
Pine Knob (Tuesday 11/27) - Pine Knob just moments ago announced their opening at 3pm Tuesday. They have several new rail features but have not commented whether a terrain park area will be open on day 1.
Boyne Highlands (today, Tuesday 11/27) and Boyne Mountain (Friday, 11/30) - Highlands offered free lift tickets on their Tuesday opener, but expect to pay for your lift the rest of the season.
Mount Holly (Wednesday, 11/28) - The official unofficial statement from MTH this morning is that they will be open at 3pm on Wednesday, 11/28.
Alpine Valley (Wednesday, 11/28 or Thursday 11/29) - blowing snow and the piles look good…
Caberfae Peaks (Friday 11/30 1) - Opening Friday at 3pm for the evening, then day sessions on Saturday & Sunday. Expect two chairs and at least a half-dozen open trails.
Nub’s Nob (Friday 11/30) - Nub’s will have only three trails serviced by two chairs on Friday, but more trails will be added over the weekend. Closed Monday-Thursday and hopeful to resume operations on Friday December 7.
Indianhead Mountain (Friday 11/30) - Indianhead has been making snow and received nearly 2 feet of natural snow over the last week, opening Friday.
