Up in Wisconsin, the City of Whitewater hosts an annual winter festival called the “Freeze Fest”and among the festivities in addition to a “polar bear” plunge in to some frozen body of water, there will be a rail jam open to snowboarders and skiers. There will be cash prizes for the winners, but the real winners will be Special Olympics Wisconsin; last year the Plunge raised some $38,000 for that cause! So competitors in the Polar Jam (or participating crazies in the Polar Plunge) are asked to collect donations or sponsorship money to benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin. Details below.
