It’s summer. You want to snowboard. But you live in Michigan. Think you’re screwed? Not any more.
Dust off your brain bucket, detune those edges, and put on your most obnoxious colored tall-tee and get out for some summer shred!
On Saturday, September 25, 2010 the Otsego Club in conjunction with Michigan-based companies Don Thomas Sporthaus, Skis.com
, Snowboards.net, and Summit Sports
, will be hosting their second annual summer rail jam. They haul in a truckload or three of man-made freshiez, set up a rail or two in the middle of Birmingham, and let you beat the heat for a few hours. Via Otsego Club:
Join us for our 2nd Annual Rail Jam at Don Thomas Sporthaus in Birmingham, MI.
Rail Jam starts at 12:00pm and goes to 4:00pm.
Sign up begins at 11:00am.
There will be food, music & prizes! Come out and join the fun!!!
Take a peak at a short video that Otsego Club and the O-Park crew put together from last year’s event.
Unfortunately my Friday consists of 30+ hours on an airplane from Singapore to Detroit via LAX, and my Sunday consists of flying to NYC, so Saturday I definitely want to make it out there just to check out the scene and get a few pictures & video clips, but I probably will not be able to participate.
