Here’s the skinny on who’s already open and who’s opening this week, if you’re in Chicago-land or Ohio and you’re dying for a fix, get after it and head to Michigan.
By next Friday, I would expect almost all of the lower-peninsula ski areas to have chairs running and gapers gaping. Although we’re off to a slow start, it’s still a start and hopefully the season will be in full swing for the Christmas holiday season.
Saturday evening I got out to Mount Holly for their opening day and took the GoPro with me. I’ve previously used it a few times in my backyard, playing with my dog, and rather unsuccessfully while skateboarding. So I finally have enough experience with the GoPro and my intended use (snowboarding/skiing) to give at least a first impression review.
