  • The weather as expected was less than desireable: heavy rain soaked slush snow, mashed potatoes, but fortunately being a weekday, the slopes were empty. We ripped a few groomers, got stuck in the sticky snow in the glades; I would've liked better conditions to talk about the mountain as a whole, but as it was, the snow was just fine for riding park and so that's where we spent most of our time.

  • It's that time of year again... here's the rundown on this year's season pass offerings at Michigan's ski resorts of the northern lower peninsula. These are all full-service resorts, within 4 hours of Detroit, and 5 of Toledo, Indianapolis or Chicago.

So we here in Michigan can't compete with the new Gondola or the Stash Terrain Park at Jackson Hole, I get that but there's plenty of Michigan ski resorts that are investing in making better experiences for their customers.
