The wife & I will be taking our nephew out snowboarding tomorrow for his first time. He’s 7, will be turning 8 in April I think, so we’re definitely going to get him a lesson. I feel comfortable in my ability to teach a n00b snowboarder as long as they have finely tuned motor skills, but I imagine that I’d have a very difficult time trying to explain the finer points of edge control and balance to a 7-year old. I wouldn’t even know how to approach it.
My friend Garrett and his wife Nicole might also be out tomorrow morning, Garrett has just started snowboarding again after a 10-year hiatus, so if we hook up with them maybe I’ll help him teach her how to shralp the gnar.
In other news, we’re only 16 days from Park City.
